HOW DO YOU PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY?
We protect the planet by uniting music fans through fashion resale. By promoting circular fashion, we enable our community to work together to cut down on the need for new clothing production and minimize fashion waste.
Raveival also has your back with groovy content that teaches you how to rave green! Dive into our ultimate festival sustainability resource — The Eco Raver — and discover how to keep the vibes high while keeping Mother Earth happy.
WHY IS BUYING SECONDHAND MORE SUSTAINABLE?
By choosing pre-loved, you’re reducing the demand for new clothing production. This means less water uses, less energy wasted & fewer chemicals polluting our waterways.
Plus, you’re helping cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. Every time you score a thrifted find, you’re not just enhancing your wardrobe— you’re also joining the fight against fast fashion waste and making the world a little greener.
HOW CAN I MAKE MY FESTIVAL WARDROBE MORE SUSTAINABLE?
Look for quality, versatility, and timeless style that will stand the test of time! Why settle for one-hit wonders when you can invest in pieces that will continuously slay the dance floor and then can be resold on Raveival when you are ready for a fresh look?
Opt for clothing made of natural fibers (such as cotton, linen & hemp) over synthetic fibers (such as polyester, nylon & spandex).
HOW IS YOUR PACKAGING SUSTAINABLE?
At Raveival, we give packaging a second chance. By using secondhand boxes and materials to ship our Brand Direct items, we help tackle the packaging waste problem, which makes up about 30% of what ends up in landfills.
We inspire our sellers to join the packaging party by reusing what they already have or borrowing from a friend instead of buying new packaging. It’s a win-win for our planet and your wallet.
HOW ARE YOUR FINANCES SUSTAINABLE?
Every dollar we make drives positive change. That’s why we bank with Amalgamated Bank, a leader in ethical banking. They champion fair labor practices, work to close the wealth gap, and actively support clean energy enterprises— while refusing to lend to fossil fuel companies. They also offer special lines of credit for solar panels and invest in tobacco-free & clean energy portfolios.
We also wanted our spending to align with our values. For company purchases, we use a Sunrise Banks Credit Card. Sunrise has committed to assessing and disclosing the climate impact of their loans and investments within three years, ensuring their portfolio aligns with the Paris Agreement.
